A lifelong advocate for children, I am honored to provide mindful therapeutic support for children and their families.
That's me at about 3 years old!
My experience offering therapeutic support and tools to children, adults and parents while working in behavioral health agencies and elementary schools became the foundation for my work in private practice. Grounded in family systems and mindfulness-based solution focused models, I pull from elements of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to allow children and adults the opportunity to communicate, work towards goals and heal in a way that best suits their individual and unique needs and temperament. In a safe, supportive, collaborative environment, I have found a client’s strengths can lead to growth and self-empowerment.
With tools and interventions, change is possible!
My diverse experience includes working with and offering support to those suffering and living with a variety of concerns, including:
anxiety
depression
attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
compromised nervous system
life-threatening disorders
anger
physical and emotional traumas
family crisis
grief and loss
As a professional, and in an effort to best advocate for my clients, I utilize many resources to continue developing methods of practice in the areas of child development, trauma and family systems. Additionally, I am an active volunteer of NAMI and committed to fighting stigma around mental illness, including extensive research, training and presenting on the impact of loved one of those living with mental illness.
